Another week of workouts are complete, it wasn’t my best week but it wasn’t my worst either. As I mentioned yesterday, I have a calf strain, so I had to substitute most of my runs this week for the bike. However, I’m hoping my extra rest and biking will serve as a taper for my half-marathon this weekend so my legs feel fresh.
Friday: Active Rest day – 30-minute walk
I planned to do my long run on Friday but I kept procrastinating and then eventually decided to leave it to Saturday instead. I did get out for a long walk for coffee though. I’ll walk a fair distance for a coffee!
Saturday: 13-mile run
Sunday: St. Patrick’s Day 5km Race
Got myself a new 5km PR on tired legs which I was pretty excited about.
Monday: Live Fit Trainer Back Workout & 30-minute bike
Tuesday: Rest Day
I slept in for my morning workout and decided that taking this week off from my leg day might be a good idea to keep my legs fresh for the half-marathon this weekend.
Wednesday: Chest Live Fit Trainer Workout and 45-minute bike
I did this tabata workout with heavy resistance and it was a hard and very sweaty workout.
Today I will complete the last workout of the Live Fit Trainer program. I can’t believe the 12 weeks is over. I’m really happy that I was able to stick with the program. I will be sharing my full results and thoughts next week.
