Happy Friday! I’m excited to share my weekly workouts because I had a great week. I finished Phase 1 of the Live Fit Trainer program and I’ll be sharing my results and review next week. Let’s just say, I’m definitely seeing some changes in my body and I’m very excited about it.
My 5 a.m. workouts have continued and I’m also loving those. It’s strange because when I had to get up at 6 a.m. for work, I would struggle and hit my snooze far too many times. But when I have to get up to workout, I don’t struggle at all. I’m actually excited to get out of bed.
The biggest key to my success with morning workouts has been food & coffee. I don’t function in the morning without those two things, which anyone who knows me would tell you!
So when I get up, I head directly to my coffee machine. I then drink back my coffee quickly as I put on my gym clothes and make a smoothie. I chug back my smoothie on my 10-minute commute to the gym and by the time I get to the gym I’m caffeinated, fed and ready to workout.
My running has been pretty good this week too. I’m still working on my base building phase so my runs aren’t anything too exciting, it’s all about logging the miles. I got in all my runs despite really wanting to skip it on Wednesday. Honestly, if I didn’t have a coach I know 100% I would have skipped that run. Which is exactly why I hired a coach, that accountability is key to my success.

Friday: 6 Mile Run – 1:10:22
This run was a struggle. My body felt exhausted and I couldn’t keep my heart rate down into my target zone. I was also supposed to run 7 miles but I underestimated the time I had before I had to get ready for an appointment so I had to cut it a little short.
Saturday: Rest Day!
Sunday: 4 Mile Recovery Run – 47:58 and BodyPump class at GoodLife Fitness
Monday: Back & Biceps Live Fit Workout & 3 Mile Run – 29:32
Tuesday: Legs Live Fit Workout
Wednesday: Chest & Triceps Live Fit Workout & 5 Mile Run – 48:56
I made some big gains in my weights in this workout so I left the gym feeling pretty strong!
Thursday: Shoulders & Abs Live Fit Workout
