Happy Monday friends! Hope you had a fabulous weekend. Mine went by way too quickly but I guess that is what happens when you’re having fun.
The weather was absolutely miserable here this weekend, so running outside was not going to happen. I headed to GoodLife Fitness in the morning to get my 6 treadmill run completed. My plantar fasciitis has been feeling so much better since I started working on my calf. I’m psyched about this and wish I had seen my physical therapist months ago!
Afterwards, I hopped in the car for the 3-hour drive to my sisters house. I hung out with her and my nieces and went to their swimming lessons. When we got home, my sister suggested I print the Dirty Dancing tickets for the next days show. However, when I went to print them off I realized I had bought tickets for the wrong show. We were planning the evening show, but I booked for the afternoon. My sister and I went into panic mode trying to rearrange child care for her three girls. Luckily, we were able to get something worked out and the show went on!
My sister and I got ready in the morning to head to the afternoon session of Dirty Dancing.
Yup, our dresses were kind of matching but we wore them anyway. And I know the photo is kind of blurry, that’s what you get when a 4-year-old takes it for you. At the show, we met up with my cousin.
The show was fantastic. I mentioned last week that I know every single line and move in Dirty Dancing and they stuck to it exactly. They did add a few unnecessary scenes that weren’t part of the movie but overall, it was amazing and I highly recommending seeing it if you get a chance.
We all headed out to dinner afterwards and had a nice long leisurely dinner where we got a chance to have some great girl talk. Then, we went met up with a couple of my Aunts for a birthday party. Again, sorry for the quality of the photo but a selfie in a dark bar doesn’t turn out that well.
I did another treadmill run at my sisters house. My coach has me working in different heart rate zones and this run was in zone 1 for recovery. It felt like a painfully slow shuffle but I know these recovery runs have a purpose and I’m trusting my coach. Afterwards, I did a little stretching and all my mini-me’s copied my every move.
Then it was time for me to make the drive home where I spent my evening doing some food prep and watching The Office on Netflix.
What was the highlight of your weekend?
