Happy New Years Eve! I hope you have some fabulous plans to ring in the New Year tonight. Tom and I are hosting a party at our house and I’m really looking forward to it. I love hosting plus it means that I don’t have to worry about getting a ride home and can have a
few many glasses of champagne!
Last year, I called 2014 my year of travel. But 2015 topped it. So I’m calling it my year of really big travel! See a theme yet, here’s hoping for an incredible 2016 travel year. Now let’s reveal my 2015 highlights.
No travel in January, but Tom and I had just returned from Turks & Caicos in December.
I went on to Golden, BC for a weekend of
snowboarding hot tubbing.
I headed to Phoenix to run a half-marathon and visit my Dad for my birthday!
I had my first ever post go viral – Five things to stop saying to a Dietitian.
I made the decision to go on Accutane and shared my experience.
I lost an angel when my Grandma passed away. I still think about her all the time.
I went to San Diego to run a Ragnar Relay and had the best time!
I headed to Spain with my best friend, Chelsi. We traveled around the country, had a few adventures trying to drive a car in Europe and laughed non-stop.
I ran the Calgary half-marathon & 5km. It wasn’t my best race, but my Mom was there to cheer me on and that meant the world to me.
As always, I attended the amazing Calgary Stampede! I always enjoy getting to bust out my cowboy boots.
I headed to Toronto with Tom’s family to celebrate his sister’s birthday.
I ran in the Edmonton marathon with my sister and we got to meet a hockey legend, Ryan Smyth!
Tom and I split from Tom’s family and went on our own adventure, touring the Yasawa Islands of Fiji.
2015 was a busy year. I ran and traveled a lot! And I loved every single second of it. I can’t wait to see what 2016 has in store for me.
