Happy Monday! Once again, I can hardly believe the weekend is already over. Spending the weekend camping with my friends was the perfect way to finish off August.
Unfortunately, we had a much smaller group than we were supposed to. A lot of people had to cancel last minute which was disappointing but we definitely made the best of it with those of us who showed up. Friday night we spent enjoyed the campfire, chatting and having a couple of beverages.
Saturday we got started with some games right away.
Then we decided to head down to the beach. A friend of ours has a cabin at the lake and a boat. Some people headed out onto the boat while others of us stayed on the beach trying to perfect our jumping photo. (It didn’t work).
The weather wasn’t perfect for a beach or boat day so we didn’t last too long and instead went back to our campsite for some more games. This led to two stepping….on the picnic table. (Told you some shenanigans would happen).
Overall, it was a fanastic weekend and a chance to catch up with friends.
This past week was one of those weeks where I didn’t workout as much as I normally do or would like to. But in full disclosure I’ll share anyways
Monday: Off – I completed the Edmonton half-marathon on Sunday so I needed a rest & recovery day
Tuesday: 3 mile recovery run
Wednesday: Off – I had a ton of work to complete in the evening and was feeling exhausted so I skipped my workout
Thursday: Spin & TRX Class
Friday: 10 Mile run – I had to take this to the treadmill since the air quality is super poor in Calgary from fires in Washington. It was definitely a long time on a treadmill.
Sunday: Off – I took the weekend off when I was camping. I brought running clothes to hopefully get in a run but it just didn’t happen
