Yay, it’s Thursday. For some reason this week has been going really slow. Tom’s home from work today and the weekend weather looks like it’s going to be beautiful. We aren’t too sure of our plans yet but I know we want to get outside and enjoy this early spring. Now as per usual, I’m linking up with Running with Spoons for Thinking Out Loud.
1. The bachelor finale was this week. Anyone else watch it? I was supposed to go over to Ange’s for a viewing party but I had a wicked headache and ended up staying home. I stayed up late to watch the finale so I didn’t hear any spoilers. Whitney was my choice for a long time so I’m glad he chose her though I think if Becca had said I love you he would have picked Becca instead so I feel a little sad for Whitney.
Also, the Bachelorette twist! Are you freaking kidding me. In case you don’t watch the show the plan is to have two bachelorettes on the first night and then the men will vote on which one stays. You thought it was bad enough being rejected by Chris Soules who has the personality of a mop but now you’re going to be rejected by 25 guys. That will be good for the self-esteem. Oh, Bachelor, I love you but I hate you.
2. Last night was our final dodgeball game of the season. We lost. Last year we were league champs and this season we ended up in fourth. Not bad.
I’m thinking the fact that we can’t even hold our own team member up doesn’t bode well for our skills and might be why we went down in the rankings.
3. I signed up for the Edmonton Half Marathon with my sister. I ran with my sister for her first half marathon when she was really sick and her second when she was seeking redemption. But then she had to go and have a baby and stop running for a while. Okay I’ll forgive her since the product of that is pretty darn cute!
But I’m really excited to run with her again and hopefully pace her to her fastest half marathon yet!
4. I mentioned before I’m going to Spain in May with my friend Chelsi. The other day she decided to call the airline to see how much it would be to upgrade our seats to first class. Want to know the answer? $11,200 per person! Isn’t that insane. We only paid $775 for the flight.
But here’s the kicker she checked her seats afterwards and suddenly she was upgraded! So now I’m stuck in a middle seat in coach while she is sipping on champagne in first class. If anyone has any tips on getting upgraded to first class, I’m all ears because I’m determined to make my way up there as well. If not my back up plan is to go bridesmaids style…
